How Shoulder Sleeper Works
A patented design that protects your shoulder while you sleep — on your back or your side.
Key Features

1ArmBar™
Keeps your shoulder and arm from moving too far while you sleep on your back or side.
2Pressure Point Relief
Reduces high-pressure zones over the ulnar and axillary nerves, helping prevent numbness and tingling.
3Body Curve
Shaped to follow your body, moving with you as you shift between back- and side-sleeping.
4SecureStrap™
Holds the pillow and your arm gently in place through the night — no neck strap needed.
5Side-Specific Fit
Unlike a one-size sling, each pillow is configured for your left or right shoulder for properly aligned support.
6Built for Comfort
Soft, breathable cover over supportive medical-grade foam — comfort from the inside out.

Rated by people who've slept on it
This was exactly what my husband needed after shoulder replacement surgery! He tried several slings and could not get comfortable. This pillow allowed him to finally sleep in a bed vs the recliner, and it made a huge difference in getting the rest he needed. Thank you!
Definitely worth the hype
I was worried it would be another one of those things I buy that would end up at the top of my closet. Oh wow, I was wrong. It's making sleeping so much more comfortable after rotator cuff surgery. Worth every penny!
So comfortable and supportive
Very cozy support for after shoulder surgery with excellent positioning and no stress on the neck. I am an OT in orthopedics and will recommend to all my patients!
Great! Helps me with sleep
I wish I had ordered it before the surgery. I had rotator cuff surgery with biceps tendon repair and bone shaving for arthritis. Full disclosure, I am also a physician. Super comfortable and using it to sleep is great.
Don't have shoulder surgery without it
A friend told me to get one for my rotator cuff surgery and I'm so glad I did. I use this around the house instead of the sling so I don't have to have the strap pulling on my neck. Comfortable and easy to use. I've slept pretty well, which is crucial for recovery.
Definitely recommended!
First, comfort — then the preventative nature from rolling over on to the repaired shoulder. My first few nights were some of the best sleep I could have asked for.
Definitely recommended!
Just had my second rotator cuff surgery. This pillow is amazing, I'm sleeping soooo much better than having to sleep in the sling. Highly recommend!!!!
Wow, it really is helpful and made it easier to sleep. I totally recommend it. I showed it to my doctor/surgeon and physical therapist and they both agreed it would not be harmful to my shoulder during recovery from shoulder replacement surgery.
I have been using the Shoulder Sleeper since before surgery in May. It allowed me to sleep as I use the small size and am 82. Massive surgery was in June and I will sleep in it until I know I won't be rolling over on that arm. It has been a life saver.
Loved this pillow! Much better than being in a sling and trying to sleep!
Sleeping so much better now without the rigid strap under my ribs.
This is working very well for me! My only complaint, and the reason I give four stars and not five, is that it puts a little pressure on my upper bicep, which is a very tender area because of the kind of surgery I had.

Without support
Sleeping unsupported lets the shoulder roll and drop through the night — the movements that wake you up.

With the Shoulder Sleeper
Your arm rests in a protected, aligned position, so you can change positions without disturbing the shoulder.

Your questions, answered
Everything worth knowing before you order
Do I have to be having surgery to use the Shoulder Sleeper Pillow?
No — the pillow isn't only for post-operative use. People managing shoulder pain, stiffness or reduced movement benefit in the same way, including those recovering from injuries, breast procedures with drains, lymphoedema, or stroke-related conditions.
Does the Shoulder Sleeper replace my sling at night?
It's designed to take the place of your sling during sleep and rest at home. Your surgeon or physiotherapist may still recommend a traditional sling for walking, time outdoors or exercise — always follow their guidance.
How soon after surgery can I start using it?
As soon as you're home from hospital. The pillow supports your arm and shoulder in the recommended recovery position from day one, helping you rest through the most important phase of healing.
How do I choose the right size?
There are two sizes: Small (150–178 cm / 5'0"–5'10") and Large (180 cm+ / 5'11"+). If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up — and if you expect swelling or post-surgical drains, the larger size is usually more comfortable.
Which operations and conditions is it suitable for?
It's commonly used after rotator cuff repair, labral repair, shoulder replacement, dislocation and fracture repair, and by people managing breast-surgery recovery with drains, lymphoedema, or post-stroke mobility limitations. Check with your surgeon if you're unsure.
